Annie Sedley's paintings are a personal response to colour, light and rhythms of the landscape. Among her subjects are UK landscapes including Hampstead Heath, London, Hadrian's Wall, Northumberland and Porthleven Cornwall as well as hot summer landscapes painted in Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany, SW France, Southern Spain and the American Southwest.
She has exhibited her work at the Centre for Strategy and Communication, London in 2004, at Frameworks, London in 2008 privately in Sheffield in 2009 and in Kentish Town, London in 2016.
Sedley studied art at school to 'A' level but did not persue her interest until 2000 when she attended a summer school at Central St Martin's School of Art and Design. She has attended adult education evening classes and summer schools at The Centre a'Arte, Tuscany and En Olivier, France.
Sedley retired from her post of Director of Human Resources at City and Islington Further Education College, London, then from her position at the Central London Employment Tribunal which included a long involvement in equal opportunities work and she now spends more time painting at home, regionally and abroad.
